• Tajal receives the quest to search out the He Who Waits and Kitai. Kitai is trying to conceal what he is researching or following.

• Tajal with blessings from his order sets out to follow the trail of Kitai

• Saw he etching in the rock from Kitai's campfire

• Arrived at Zasir'imi'Cafal'ail Rajimmi and asked about Kitai. (Note: Zasir means waystation) According to Cafal Kitai was here gathering supplies.

• Cafal handed Tajal a note saying:

• Discovered that Cafal tried to give Kitai the note but he handed it back.

• I gather a few supplies and leave.

• Tajal heads eastward towards the river. At the river he meets an old friend Tri'jar (TrijarPractla?). They share a meal and a conversation. Tri'jar gives Tajal several gifts.

• Tajal sees smoke from the other side of the river. Tajal investigates the source of the fire and discovers it is coming from a mine. He feels compelled to investigate the source of the fire. Initially he investigates magically and physically. The mine shaft lead to an ancient structure. As part of his investigation he finds more pieces of the black rock. He also finds a tomb or a sacred chamber. There are skeletons of what Tajal believes are Krudrun, these skeletons have collars. Inside a round chamber is an egg shaped design of gold filigree. Eventually he finds an escape hatch in which he finds several items and he is transported to the top of a mountain. He believes that is underground chamber was created by or for Firebreathers/Fireeaters.

• Arrive a the top of a mountain from the Firebreathers/Fireeaters' cavern.

• Begin walking along southern edge of the Cha'zali'rajmi towards the Mi'rola'vami

• Tajal arrives in Ma'elm (Maelm)and finds the

• leave Aviz'amar in Ma'elm (Maelm)

• Tajal arrives at Lielm on the evening of the 48th. After taking refreshment go into the Library and find the body of Ramalar (The person in charge of this Aviz'amar Chapter House and a teenage assistant.

• Tajal investigates the deaths of Ramalar and his assistant. He determines that Kitai murdered them and he took or destroyed several books in the process. Kitai appears to be trying to prevent anyone from reading or investigating what is researching.

• Tajal meets with Amir and explains what he has discovered.

• Tajal sees a vision of Kitai boarding an evening boat out of the city. He throws an insect at the boy who was following him. Later discover this boy his servant to He Who Waits.

• After arriving at an Aviz'amar safe house Tajal is summoned by a boy and his dog. He follows the silent pair via circuitous route to a landing on the first island of Lielm (island 6). There Tajal meets He Who Waits. They engage in a conversation in which He Who Waits offers Tajal an opportunity to be his student or accomplice. He Who Waits seems concerned that he would have to fulfill a role that he does not want to be part of and fears for freedom of others. He Who Waits has picked Tajal as a likely student or accomplice because of his willingness to consider truth.

• Tajal and Amir discuss the recent events, the quest and the possibility that Kitai is being motivated or controlled by someone/something else. Tajal discovers that they were being overhead and watched by a shadowmage. They were not able to discover who was watching them.

• In the late evening Tajal meditates and slips into a vision in which he sees two great armies about to clash. On one side a horde of blood thirsty humanoid snakes and the other a reluctant group of humans, krudrun and others races. Commanding them was He Who Waits and flying high above them huge flying lizards. This battle was taking place in the lands of the Pirem Empire long before human civilization.
